Learning Opportunities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Studying together is an important component of the communal experience at Moreshet Avraham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We incorporate a sermon into every prayer service and also offer opportunities for study, deeper exploration, and engagement with the richness of the sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the year, regular and alternating classes are held in Hebrew and English in Talmud and meditation. The regular series of classes are an opportunity to delve deeper into a particular source or topic, an opportunity to study in a fellowship and in a group, and an opportunity to meet guest lecturers who expand the canvas. The lesson plan can be found in the monthly calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An incubator for young Judaism<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the spirit of Rabbi Aharon Goodman. Every week, Moreshet Avraham provides a children's prayer service that includes singing and fun learning. The children participate in the concluding parts of the Shabbat prayer (with adults) and learn to be prayer leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the year, the Moreshet Avraham community provides activities, educational plays and special events for families around the Hebrew calendar. Since October 7th we have been holding ongoing activities for families and children and fostering support and resilience. Every week we hold a respite activity for families; the atmosphere combines a homely feeling and a connection to tradition. We are dedicated to our common future and seek to foster and expand programs for children and families.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

Preparation for Bar and Bat Mitzvah<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A journey of acquaintance and encounter with the Jewish bookcase, the prayer, the tallit and the tefillin, and the values \u200b\u200bof kindness and morality to which the Jewish tradition aspires. The rabbis accompany the family before and during the ceremony and build the sermon together with the bar\/bat mitzvah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants acquire knowledge and orientation about the Jewish tradition in its various branches and the meaning of Bar and Bat Mitzvah.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

Acts of Kindness in the Community<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The world shall be built with loving-kindness.<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Kehilat Moreshet Avraham is a support network for community members and works for the residents of the neighborhood and the residents of Jerusalem. The Moreshet Avraham collects food for the needy in the neighborhood. The food is distributed every month in cooperation with the PRI organization. Special donations for the needy are collected for the holidays of Tishrei, Purim, and Passover. Before Pesach, the KMA collects leaven products from the west of the city and delivers them through the Kolana organization to needy non-Jews from East Jerusalem. Moreshet Avraham hosts blood donation events and meals for lone soldiers. The community provides a support system for its members in joy and grief.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

<\/path><\/svg><\/span>N.O.A.M. Talpaz<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Youth Movement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Talpaz branch of N.O.A.M., the youth movement of traditional Judaism, has a vibrant home in Moreshet Avraham. The members meet twice a week for educational and social events and Shabbat programs throughout the year. We are blessed with lively young men and women who are active both in our community and in NOAM. We are proud of the educational work of NOAM Talpaz and happy for the cooperation.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n
